Richie Ren - R.S.V.P (April 28, 2009)

Two years after If Life's Goin' Without You, popular Taiwan singer-actor Richie Jen finally releases his new album, R.S.V.P. The album's title captures both the feeling of anticipation for this release and the response of fans to Richie's hard work and efforts. Richie's first album with East Asia Music, R.S.V.P. covers both Mandarin and Cantonese songs of different musical styles.

First plug "Bronchitis" (Track 4) is a collaboration with Hong Kong singer Wilfred Lau and Mainland DJ Dabing. Much like Andy Lau, Blackie Ko, and Jacky Wu's "Dumb Child", this catchy and lighthearted number is a song for men, cheekily airing the grievance's of being henpecked by significant others. Richie teams up with Hong Kong singer-songwriter Ivana Wong for "Balloon" (Track 8) for a perfect merging of Richie's folksy, earthy voice and Ivana's angelic vocals. R.S.V.P also features Richie's self-written "Race" (Track 7), the Storm Rider - Clash of Evils title theme (Track 5), and two Cantonese songs, including the refreshing Chet Lam-composed number "My Friend, Have You Changed Yet?" (Track 11)

ayaka - Yume wo Mikata ni / Koi Kogarete Mita Yume (A$pril 22, 2009)

Soler - Canto (April 09, 2009)

After a lengthy legal tussle with the record company, the Hong Kong-based pop rock duo Soler is back with Canto, the first fully Cantonese album from the twin brothers of Italian-Burmese descent. In fact, there's more to the title of this long-awaited album than merely a hint of the songs' language, as the word "canto" actually means "singing" in Italian, which is something the Macau-born musicians excel at.

All 11 songs of Canto are composed by Soler, including "Why" (Soler's Free to Rock concert theme song), "Dope Queen" (written by Wyman Wong, rumored to be inspired by Amy Winehouse), and "Season of the Wind" (Soler's remake of the classic Paula Tsui ballad). Closing the album is a live track called "Him", which is Soler's tribute to Hong Kong rock legend Wong Ka Kui, the late front man of Beyond.

IU - Vol. 1 - Growing Up (April 23, 2009)

Last year, IU (Lee Ji Eun), released her mini album "Mia" and it showed her strong powerful voice to the audience. She was only 15 years old when she first released her mini album. Now, IU is almost turning 16, she made her comeback with her title track "Boo" at KBS Music Bank comeback stage. Although she changed her image to a sweet and cute image, but her song "Boo" is not a easy song to be sung. Although, I personally think that her song "Boo" was not a good choice for IU; it was a weak song. However, her album is a definitely worth a try (definitely recommended!).
